Four-seater Cabriolet, the Maserati Grancabrio has a stunning line (fluid, aerodynamic and with a gritty concave grille mask) and even more fascinating than that of the GranTurismo from which it derives. Thanks to the considerable length (which is 4.9 meters in length) and with a wheelbase of 294 cm, it is not one of the usual spiders with places of good fortune, but also offers decent hospitality to people of normal stature.
The Maserati GranCabrio has an elegant triple-layer canvas hood that opens or closes electrically in 28 seconds and a sophisticated and sporty interior, finished with leather and high-quality burl (but there is also some plastic detail a bit ‘undertone) and, in addition for safety, has roll-bars that automatically come out of 35 cm if the on-board sensors “perceive” that the car is about to overturn.
Lacking the metal pavilion that closes the body above, the frame of the Maserati GranCabrio has been stiffened with diagonal reinforcements in the floor (which combine the front end and the rear with a flat bottom in aluminum). Two versions in the list, with 4.7 V8 engine in light alloy, which delivers 450 hp for the “basic” Automatic version, and 460 for the more “bad” 4.7 Sport and MC.
