A large coupe-style luxury SUV, the Audi Q8 shares the mechanics with the classic and imposing Q7, but is much more streamlined and gritty: a question of proportions (it is shorter than 6 cm, wider than 3 and lower than 4 ) and style (the Q8 sports the muscles, due to the enormous front grille, the large air intakes in the fascia and the thin led taillights, joined by a luminous strip). The passenger compartment, finished with remarkable care, is different from that of the Q7 also in the dashboard, which is more modern and linear; the highlights are the three displays: the dashboard, behind the steering wheel, and the two in the console, for the multimedia system and the “climate”. The Q8 has a standard equipment including four-wheel drive, eight-speed automatic transmission, 20 “wheels (you can have 21 and 22” wheels), full led headlights, electronically controlled shock absorbers, l ‘automatic opening of the tailgate, the speed regulator and the automatic emergency braking system Among the most interesting options, we mention the front seats with massage and ventilation function, the infrared camera for better night vision (the images of the road are projected in the display in the dashboard, anticipating the lighting of the headlights) and the air suspension (they allow to increase the distance on the ground up to 25.4 cm.) All the engines are combined with a 48 volt electric motor / generator, which recharges a dedicated battery during deceleration, and provides to restart the six-cylinder when necessary (in release it is often switched off, disconnecting the transmission from the wheels, to proceed “sailing”); utto, to reduce consumption a little and to obtain homologation as a hybrid car.
