Up to the front doors is the same as the standard Wrangler, but the Jeep Wrangler Rubicon has an extended wheelbase of 52 cm and for the first time has the body with five openings: on board offers space for the whole family, and even the trunk, finally worthy of the name, it is really large. Since the front and rear overhangs are the same as the “short” version, mobility on rough terrain is not penalized, and since the hard-top (which rests on a massive roll-bar) has also been maintained, the possibility of disassembling the roof (in plastic) and traveling in the open air. The interior is more cared for than the old series, but more than for the finishes convinces for practicality.
The Jeep Wrangler Rubicon setting is off-road hard, with the all-wheel drive and the reduced gears (even for versions with four- or five-speed automatic transmission). Two engines of the Jeep Wrangler Unlimited: you can choose between the 3.6 V6 (the only Euro 6 in the range) with 284 hp petrol and the 2.8 CRD turbodiesel with 200 hp. The Rubicon set-up is the most specialized: it allows the locking of the front and rear differentials and also features shortened ratios. At the top of the range of the Jeep Wrangler Unlimited, there is the rich “X version”, available only for the 3.6 V6 petrol, with leather interior, removable hard-top and 18 “wheels.
